Menopause Matters

Join us this International Women's Day as two of our wāhine host a webinar on women's health featuring experts Dr. Nicky Keay, Dr. Stacy Sims and moderated by Dr. Samantha Newman.

Discover the science behind your hormones and how understanding them can maximise your wellbeing - body and mind, especially as we head into perimenopause, te ruahinetanga [menopause], and beyond.  We'll explore the menstrual cycle - that there are times of the month where wāhine [women] are most strong (physically and mentally), and times where we need to nurture.  We will discuss menopause as a normal part of the female hormone odyssey and ideas for what to do when symptoms impact your wellbeing. We'll delve into the variety of options available to help, including day to day changes we can make via nutrition, movement, stress reduction and sleep etc, as well as the medical help available (including hormonal and non-hormonal medications).

Dr Sam is so excited to have the opportunity to bring together world leading experts and her own passion which is making knowledge about women's health relevant, applicable and accessible for the wāhine of Aotearoa. Register now to gain valuable knowledge, empower yourself and optimise your well-being.
