Menopause

Menopause is one day: One day exactly 365 days after the last menstrual period. Therefore, a third of life is spent in the post-menopause. This means that there are low reproductive hormone levels. For some this means stability of wellbeing, for others the natural (or medically induced) loss of reproductive hormones has caused significant loss of sense of self. 

The low reproductive hormone state of later life is associated with an increase in many medical conditions in women. Hence, a proactive management to health earlier on in this stage can decrease risks of heart attacks, strokes, obesity and depression.
