Clues it may be hormones

Why I chose these 5 hormone clues

I could have picked dozens of hormone-related symptoms.

But I chose these five because they are the things people often notice before they realise hormones might be part of the picture.

“I’ve got no control anymore.”

Because people often notice the unpredictability before they recognise a pattern.

“I don’t feel like myself.”

Because this is one of the most powerful descriptions I hear in clinic — and often one of the hardest to explain.

“I feel like I’m pregnant again.”

Because pregnancy can bring back very familiar hormone-responsive feelings — including that sense of losing control, feeling unlike yourself, and recognising that your body and brain are behaving differently.

“I keep going to the doctor.”

Because hormonal change can show up across lots of different systems, and the clue is sometimes the cluster, not one individual symptom.

“I’m gaining weight and nothing has changed.”

Because this is incredibly common, frustrating, and too often reduced to “eat less and move more.”

These clues are not a  diagnostic test.

They are simply a way to stop, step back, and ask:

Is there a pattern here that I haven’t noticed before?
